How to Tailor Your CV to a Job Description (and Pass the ATS)

Recruiters spend seconds on each CV. Move the experience and achievements that match the role to the top of each section. If a bullet point does not support this application, cut it or push it down.

Quantify results that match their goals

If the role is about growth, lead with growth numbers. If it is about efficiency, lead with time and cost savings.

• Weak: "Responsible for social media."
• Strong: "Grew Instagram following 140% in six months, driving 25% more inbound leads."
