How the AI CV builder works

Three steps, and only the first one asks anything real of you.

Start from what you already have

Upload an existing CV as PDF or DOCX and the editor reads it into structured fields: roles, dates, education, skills. Nothing is retyped. If you do not have a CV yet, you start from an empty form instead.

Rewrite the lines that describe your work

Every experience entry has a rewrite action. The AI takes your own sentence and returns a version written the way a hiring manager reads: an action, a system or a scope, and a result where one exists. You keep, edit or discard whatever comes back.

Check it against the advert, then export

The analysis reads your CV the way an employer's software does and shows what was extracted from each section. Export is PDF or DOCX, from any template.

What the AI actually changes

The useful change is almost never a longer sentence. It is the same claim rebuilt so a reader can tell whether you did the job well, rather than only that you held it.

The second version invents nothing. It asks you for the figures you already know and puts them where a reader looks first. When a line genuinely has no measurable result, the rewrite describes the scope instead, because scope is still evidence.

Why parsing comes before wording

Most applications are read by software before a person sees them. That software does not look at your CV, it extracts fields from it: name, contact details, employers, dates, titles, skills. Anything it fails to extract is, in practice, not on your CV.

This is why the tool shows you the extracted version rather than a score alone. A section that comes back empty is telling you something specific: the heading was non standard, the text sat inside an image or a text box, or the contact details were in a page header where many parsers never look.

Wording matters after that, not before it. There is no point tuning a sentence the parser never reached.

What the AI does not do

Being clear about this is more useful than a longer feature list.

• It does not invent experience, employers, dates or numbers. If you did not give it a figure, it will not produce one.
• It does not guarantee an interview. No tool can, and one that claims otherwise is selling you something.
• It does not know the employer's internal criteria. It works from your CV and the advert text you provide, which is what a recruiter works from too.
• It does not replace your judgement about what to leave out. Deciding what not to say is still the part only you can do.

What happens to your CV

The quick check on the home page runs entirely on our own server with no AI call at all. Your file is read in memory, the result is returned, and the file is discarded. It is never written to disk, and no account is needed.

The deeper analysis and the rewriting features do send text to Google Gemini, because that is the model doing the writing. Those need an account, which is also what lets you come back to a draft later.
